Overview

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated shift. They provide care utilizing the nursing process, current trends, technology, and resources, aligned with the institution's philosophy.

Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (3-year commitment) for RNs with >1 year experience
  • Relocation Bonus: $5,000 for moves over 100 miles
  • Relocation Bonus: $2,500 for moves between 50 and 100 miles
  • BSN Bonus: $2,500
Qualifications

License/Certifications: BLS certification within 30 days (American Heart Association); RN license from Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation

Education: College Diploma

Skills: Relevant knowledge and skills as required

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties specific to the unit's scope of service
  • Implement procedures and theories relevant to practice area
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care
  • Conduct initial patient assessments and develop care plans
  • Implement and modify care plans based on evaluations
  • Ensure safety of patients and staff, report hazards
  • Communicate effectively with team members and patients
  • Delegate and verify patient care tasks
  • Complete all required documentation and patient care activities
  • Administer medications following the 'Five Rights'
  • Prioritize patient safety and adhere to safety protocols
  • Promote a positive and healing environment
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and requests
  • Use critical thinking to monitor and respond to patient status changes
  • Collaborate within the healthcare team for optimal patient care

Compensation and Benefits
