Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical 7W unit at Mercy Hospital South. The role involves applying the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinating with other departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

A Missouri RN license (or compact) is required, with BLS certification needed within 30 days of hire. Prior hospital experience is preferred, and BSN is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or possess compact licensure
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the listed degrees
• Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
