Carilion Clinic’s Roanoke facility seeks an experienced RN for the Med Surg PCU to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to acutely and chronically ill adults on a 25-bed unit.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with physicians, residents, and staff to optimize outcomes across day, evening, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program eligible for VA licensure.
• Currently licensed as RN in Virginia or eligible to obtain VA RN licensure.
• BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

As part of the health care team, RNs assume primary accountability for nursing coordination and provision of individualized care for patients of all ages. The registered nurse also utilizes delegation and critical thinking skills to provide quality service through a team oriented, collaborative approach to patient care. #criticalcarern* Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages as appropriate to service area.* Age specific admission and ongoing assessments are completed, documented and used to develop a plan of care.* Collaborates with members of the health care team/patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care. May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit. **Other:** Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).**Compensation Range:**$33.52 - $50.28*Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
