Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking an Observation Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Observation Unit, aligned with state and department standards.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, document care thoroughly, administer medications, monitor responses, and advocate for patients and families.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, timely communication, and adherence to nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, identifying changes and reporting them.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and take action for adverse or unintended reactions.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care by addressing patient requests and anticipating needs, and resolving issues.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Observation Registered Nurse, you willbe responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."
