Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedic Unit at St. Francis Eastside. The RN will deliver exceptional nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and lead patient care plans to improve outcomes.

Sign-on bonuses up to $7,500 with 1 year of RN experience; new grads up to $5,000. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred; current RN licensure and BLS are required or preferred. Comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience (required) within an acute care hospital setting.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting and assess patient condition.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with Mercy Health policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
