Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Orthopedics unit. This fast-paced environment demands nursing excellence across surgical and medical populations with a focus on collaboration and learning.

The RN will perform clinical assessments, develop and update care plans, educate patients and families, and ensure high-quality patient care while adhering to the Texas Nursing Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• RN license is required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of starting.
• 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Tele experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Patient Population: Surgical (orthopedic, neurosurgery, colorectal, gynecological, urology, plastics, bariatrics, general surgery, trauma), medical-cellulitis, SBO, AMS, GI, hospice, diabetes.

Patient Ratios: 1:5

Number of Beds: 40 beds

Department Specifics: Diverse workforce, team oriented, strongly promoted collaboration across all disciplines, self-scheduling, Magnet Designated with active unit shared governance structure.

Shift: Full Time Nights; 7pm-7am

Experience: 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Tele experience in an acute care hospital setting
