Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking Registered Nurses for the Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit at St. Ann’s in northeast central Ohio. The unit cares for hip/knee replacements, fractures and general medical/surgical telemetry patients, with a team-oriented culture and individualized RN orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; prior EMR charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients.
• Administer medications under provider guidance.
• Assist in emergencies and educate patients and families.
• Document assessments and outcomes accurately in the EMR.
• Provide care with accountability and teamwork.
