Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for night shifts. The role emphasizes critical thinking, thorough patient assessments, timely documentation, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

You will administer medications, support admissions, discharges and transfers, educate patients and families, and ensure safe handoffs and regulatory compliance. Requires RN license, BLS, and 2+ years in an acute hospital setting; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS required; TNCC preferred
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in an acute hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and administer medications per plan.
• Perform assessments and document patient data timely.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe handoffs and patient safety.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and care plans.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards
