Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on clinical protocols and physician orders. The RN collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient outcomes while maintaining a compassionate environment for patients and families.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care according to policies and protocols.
  • Conducts thorough patient assessments, documents findings, and reports changes in condition.
  • Provides age-appropriate care and education, utilizing knowledge of human development.
  • Administers medications, monitors for side effects, and documents accordingly.
  • Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
  • Responds to emergencies, including CPR and code team activities.
  • Advocates for patient rights and needs.
  • Provides education on medical conditions, treatment, and post-discharge care.
  • Implements infection control protocols.
  • Operates medical equipment safely.
  • Ensures patient safety and maintains a clean environment.
  • Participates in audits and compliance checks.
  • Demonstrates responsible decision-making in care planning and delegation.
  • Documents care and education thoroughly and promptly.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to all policies and standards.
Qualifications
