Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg 5W on a night shift at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. New grads and experienced nurses are welcome, with a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).

A sign-on bonus is available: up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and up to $5,000 for new graduates. The unit cares for adult medical patients with conditions such as obstructions, infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN. Licensure: MO RN (or compact) per state regulations. Experience: hospital preferred depending on unit.
• Certifications: BLS required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
