Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital in Medina, OH is seeking an RN to join the 3 South unit, a 32-bed general medical-surgical team. You will provide direct nursing care, develop and update care plans, and educate patients and families on discharge planning.

Minimum qualifications include RN from an accredited program, current Ohio RN license, BLS (ACLS if in CCU), and at least 1 year of acute care experience. The role requires a day/night rotation with weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS Certification required if in a Critical Care area or within the first year of hire.
• One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
