Job summary

HCA Florida Putnam Hospital in Palatka, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med Surg East Days unit. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and advocate for patients and families while adhering to nursing standards.

You will assess patients on admission and during shifts, administer medications, document care, and educate patients about treatment plans and potential side effects. No travel required; 1 year RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure is required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response with documentation in the medical record.
• Provide timely, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up steps.
