Fairview is looking for a hardworking RN at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 48 hours per two weeks on the Night shift, for 12 hour shifts, variable schedule, and every third weekend rotation.

About This Unit:
This is a 33 bed Heart Care unit with rapid turnaround for patients that stay on average for 2.5 days. Our typical patient population consists of patients with observable chest pain, ruling out anything cardiac related, stroke patients, and alcohol withdrawal. We prepare and recover our patients for stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac procedures including diagnostic angiograms/stent placement, ablations, pacemakers and ICD insertions, and open heart surgery. Our unit cares for many patients with heart failure and cardiac arrythmias needing IV drips. RNs will identify cardiac rhythms and determine next steps for patients with MD guidance.
The RN serves as the key leader of the interdependent team and is responsible to achieve patient and unit outcomes by coordinating the care for a group of patients. This includes: comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs; identification of outcomes based on the needs' assessment; establishing the plan of care; monitoring the progress; and modification of the plan of care as needed.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
