Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Ohio is seeking an experienced RN for the Parkview I Oncology and Women’s Health unit. You will deliver direct nursing care, implement and update patient care plans, monitor conditions, administer medications, and educate patients and families throughout the care journey.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
  • Current state RN licensure
  • BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
  • Chemotherapy competency within six months of hire; IV therapy training
  • ONS Chemo/Bio course within two years if chemo administered on unit
  • ACLS certification if on Critical Care unit present on hire or within first year
  • One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience

Fairview Hospital’s Parkview I Oncology and Women’s Health nursing unit focuses on Oncology, emphasizes women's health and surgery, and provides comprehensive care and caring services for adults who have medical and surgical diagnoses. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.

A caregiver in this role works nights from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with weekend and holiday requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide direct nursing care.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Chemotherapy competency within the first six months, with additional training in end-of-life care and intravenous therapy (IV)
  • ONS Chemo/Bio course within two years of hire if employed on units where chemo is administered
  • *If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of hire
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
