The Med Surg Unit is a 29-bed unit with an attached 7-bed ICU. Adult patients have a variety of diagnoses. Most patients are medical cases, and surgical cases include bariatric, total joint, abdominal, podiatry, and more.

Provides nursing care responsibly and ethically, as outlined by the ANA and Michigan law. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds professional standards such as ethical practice, cultural competence, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, resource management, and environmental health. Strives for optimal patient outcomes.

Employment: Full-time, Night shift, 36 hours/week, 7 pm - 7:30 am, variable days, every third weekend
