Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. invites applications for a Registered Nurse in the medical-surgical unit in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The nurse provides direct and indirect patient care to adolescents through the elderly, coordinating with physicians and the nursing team to monitor patients and respond swiftly to clinical changes. Applicants must hold a Texas RN license, current BLS, and ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas RN license.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS or PALS within six months of hire.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program and maintain Texas licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a medical-surgical setting for adolescents to geriatrics.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager, House Supervisor and teammates about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision.

Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Qualifications
