Job Description:

Seeking a dedicated critical care nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Aberdeen, SD. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to critically ill adolescents (16+) through geriatric patients in an 8-room CCU. Expect to interpret hemodynamic data, respond swiftly to patient crises, and collaborate closely with physicians and unlicensed staff. The shift is 12 hours overnight, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. You’ll be working with modern equipment such as EPIC charting, smart pumps, ventilators, and central lines, ensuring quality care in a well-staffed environment of 2 nurses per patient in critical care and 4 in overflow situations. The assignment offers a daily routine of hands-on patient management, supervision when appropriate, and utilizing technology to deliver top patient outcomes.
