Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems is seeking an experienced RN MDS Director for Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, CT. The role focuses on planning, organizing, and directing the MDS process to ensure high-quality resident care. This is a full-time salaried position with a competitive hourly rate and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MDS process, assess resident care plans, and transmit CMS reports.
• Oversee ADL training for facility staff.
• Issue and deliver denial notices timely and appropriately.
• Complete CMS-approved MDS item sets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain Medicare meeting minutes and issue denial letters as needed.
• Manage residents' Medicare/Insurance benefits and billing documents.
• Perform duties assigned by the manager.
