Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Michigan is seeking a PRN RN MDS Coordinator to join our team. The role coordinates and assists with completion and submission of accurate MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans in compliance with CMS RAI Manual Regulations and Life Care standards.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a nursing degree, and at least two years of nursing experience, preferably geriatric.

Qualifications

  • Must have an active RN license and nursing degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; geriatrics preferred.
  • CPR certification required at hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist with completion and submission of MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans according to CMS RAI Manual Regulations.
  • Report changes in a patient’s condition identified by the MDS to the DON.
  • Educate direct care staff on CMS RAI Manual updates and Nursing Facility regulations.
  • Assist with review of the Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plan.
  • Review CMS reports and ensure timely billing and documentation.
  • Participate in PPS meetings and other required meetings; perform staff nurse duties as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct; collaborate across interdisciplinary team.
  • Support in patient safety and adherence to company policies.

Skills

Nursing experience (2+ years)

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
RN license in good standing
CPR certification
