Job summary

A healthcare staffing company is seeking a qualified nursing professional for a contract position. The role involves managing nursing duties, ensuring compliance with standards, communicating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining resident care. Candidates must have a valid RN license and experience with the RAI/MDS process, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Entry-level applicants will be considered. Certification in RAC-CT is required within six months if not already obtained.

Qualifications

• Experience with RAI/MDS process required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant LTC MDS coordination experience.
• Must obtain RAC-CT (AANAC) certification within 6 months if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Complete the assigned nursing portions of the MDS.
• Review RAI/MDS for validity and perform quality checks.

• Observe, assess, and report changes in resident status.
• Educate co-workers related to the RAI/MDS process.
• Utilize PCC EMR accurately for documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Duties

• Complete the assigned nursing portions of the MDS and sign forms to confirm accuracy and completion.
• Review all sections of the RAI/MDS for validity and perform final quality checks before submission.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and promote a safe, pleasant living environment.
• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team regarding resident conditions.
• Observe, assess, and report changes in resident status according to facility standards.
• Educate co-workers and participate in support related to the RAI/MDS process.
• Utilize PCC EMR accurately for documentation and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and care plan requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN license for state of practice required.
