Job summary

Essentia Health in Minnesota is seeking a Labor and Delivery registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. The role will involve delegating tasks to team members in accordance with licensure and job descriptions.

Shifts are rotating 12-hour blocks with 48 hours per pay period, including days and overnights, every third weekend, Block 72A, and potential hiring incentives based on degree level.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school.
• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) within one month.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within one year.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on licensure and job descriptions.

Job Description:

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Education Qualifications:

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

This position will work the following:

• 48 hours per pay period

• Every Third Weekend

• Rotating 12 Hour Shifts

• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM

• Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM

• Block 72A

• Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year

• Preferred: At least one year of Labor and Delivery Experience
