Job summary

Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC seeks an RN for Maternal Child services to provide age-appropriate direct patient care across all age groups. The role includes assessment, medication administration, and documentation, with collaboration across the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in NC or a compact state.
• BLS required; PALS and NRP within 90 days.
• NCI, EFM antepartum and TeamSTEPPS training within 90 days.
• One year of clinical experience in the area is preferred; new grads after RN residency may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate direct care to patients across all ages in Maternal Child.
• Assess, administer medications, carry out orders, document care, and communicate with the care team according to hospital policies.

Job description

Provides age appropriate direct care to the patients across all age spans and health condition appropriate for Maternal Child. Responsible for assessment, medication administration, carrying out providers orders, evaluating their effect, documenting care provided and communicating with the care team. Provides care in adherence to all hospital policies and accreditation standards.Education/Certification:Graduation from accredited School of NursingCurrent, unencumbered North Carolina or compact state RN License.Current BLS certificationPALS and NRP certification within 90 daysNCI certification, EFM antepartum and Team STEPPS training within 90 daysExperience:One year of clinical experience in area of clinical specialty is preferred.
