We Are Hiring
  • Department: Stepdown and ICU
  • Schedule: Full Time | 1.0 FTE | Day Shift
  • Hospital: Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee
  • Location: Mequon, WI
What You Will Do

Manage activities, workflow, and nursing resources for one or more assigned specialty nursing areas: Emergency/Triage, Adult or Pediatric/NeoNatal Critical Care, Labor & Delivery/Women & Family.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for yourself and within the unit(s).
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
  • Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
  • Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Ensure a high level of satisfaction among staff, patients, and physicians.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, developing, and evaluating staff.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credential from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification, with at least 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience.
