Job description

Responsibilities

The RN Manager Outpatient is responsible for managing, promoting, evaluating, and directing the day‑to‑day operations of the assigned clinic. Provides direction for total patient care in collaboration with physicians, sub‑specialists, nursing, and ancillary services. Responsible for developing and implementing protocols in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations. Monitors the effectiveness of these protocols through interaction with all departments system‑wide and through problems identified in the quality improvement program. Functions as a resource and liaison to all departments within the LCMC system, including nursing, social services, emergency services, admissions, radiology, labor and delivery, and all other services provided to the patient.

Qualifications

5 years of professional nursing supervisory experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nursing License, Louisiana State Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support
• HeartSaver & First Aid, American Heart Association

Skills & Abilities

• Organization and prioritization skills.
• Adherence to RN role as written in the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and outlined in orientation specific to the department and facility.
• Ability to enter and analyze data.
• Basic working knowledge of fax machines, calculators, copiers, and basic computer programs (Word, email, Excel, Microsoft‑XP & PowerPoint).
• Documentation in Centricity and working with GE Viewpoint.
