Job summary

LCMC Health seeks an experienced RN Manager Outpatient to lead the day-to-day operations of the outpatient clinic. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflows.

In this role, you will develop and implement protocols with the Director of Clinical Operations and monitor their effectiveness through the organization’s quality improvement program.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional nursing experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Louisiana RN license is required.
• Ability to enter and analyze data; familiarity with basic office equipment and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the outpatient clinic.
• Provide direction for total patient care in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
• Develop and implement protocols in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations.
• Monitor protocol effectiveness through the quality improvement program.
• Act as a liaison to multiple departments across the LCMC Health system.

Essential Functions:

The RN Manager Outpatient, is responsible to manage, promote, evaluate and direct the day-to-day operations of the clinic assigned. Provide direction for total patient care in collaboration with the physicians, sub-specialists, nursing, and ancillary services. Responsible for the development and implementation of protocols in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations. Monitors the effectiveness of these protocols through interaction with all departments system-wide and through problems identified in the quality improvement program. Functions as a resource and liaison to all departments within the LCMC system, including nursing, Social Services, Emergency Services, Admissions, Radiology, Labor and Delivery and all other services provided to the patient.

Experience Qualifications

5 years of experience Professional nursing - Supervisory

Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nursing License Louisiana State Board of Nursing Basic Life Support HeartSaver & First Aid American Heart Association

Skills and Abilities

Organization and prioritization skills. Adheres to RN role as written in the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and outlines in orientation specific to the department and facility. Ability to enter and analyze data. Able to demonstrate basic working knowledge of fax machines, calculators, copiers, and basic computer programs (Word, email, Excel , Microsoft-XP & PowerPoint). Must be able to document in Centricity and work with GE Viewpoint.
