Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an RN for the Main Operating Room at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role offers a flex shift with weekend requirements and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires an Associate's degree or BSN, IL nursing license, and CPR certification. Previous OR RN experience is preferred. Opportunity to join a Magnet-recognized health system with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Previous OR RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe and timely.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Teaches patients and families based on assessed learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintains knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
