Job summary

Desert Springs is seeking a full-time Registered Charge Nurse for a long-term care facility in Hobbs, NM. The RN will lead nursing staff, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to ensure resident safety and quality care.

The role requires supervising staff during 12-hour shifts (6PM-6AM) and delivering direct patient care as needed, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational program and licensed in the state of practice, required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs; ALFs as required by state).

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.
• Serves as a resource to all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided.
• Provide direct resident care when required; administer medications and treatments timely per facility policy; follow physician orders as permitted.
• Effectively manages nursing personnel on shift to limit overtime and agency staff.
• Assesses work performance of nursing staff against unit standards of care and goals.
• Conducts regular staff meetings on each shift and provides updates to DON.

Your Responsibilities
