Job summary

Kindred Hospital Houston Northwest is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan and deliver patient care across the LTACH and ARU units. You will develop nursing care plans, coordinate with physicians and families, and participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions.

Requires RN licensure, BLS, and preferably ACLS. Flexibility in shifts and a focus on patient-centered care are expected in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary credential in nursing is required or equivalent.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice required.

Responsibilities

• Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develops and coordinates patient care plans with patient, family and staff.
• Communicates changes in condition to physicians and nursing leadership.
• Participates in discharge planning and care transition.
• Directs and supervises nursing staff and documents care in the medical record.
• Administers medications following five rights and safety protocols.
