Department: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / ICU

Our teams provide high-acuity, long-term care while building meaningful relationships with patients who typically stay with us longer, allowing for deeper continuity of care.

Our LTAC unit cares for patients with complex medical needs, including:
Average patient length of stay: 25 days
Unit size: 25 beds
Blended ICU & Med-Surg experience – Manage ventilators, titrated drips, and bedside procedures while also building strong foundational nursing skills
ICU: 2–3 patients per RN
Med-Surg: 4–5 patients per RN, with support from non-licensed staff and a unit clerk
Dedicated wound care team
24/7 respiratory therapy support

Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
Passion for caring for medically complex patients
Desire to grow clinically in a collaborative, close-knit environment
ICU, LTAC, or acute care experience preferred

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
