RN/LPN - WOW Program

The program consists of three 8-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday and Monday

You will work 6 consecutive weekends

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The households at Mozaic Senior Life will each be led by a team consisting of a Clinical Nurse Leader (RN/LPN), Household Coordinator (non-clinical leader), and Lead Homemaker. These leadership teams will work to create home, community, family, and provide Residents with the highest quality of life and quality of care in a household model of care. Residents will be provided by a team of household staff working in an environment that supports their personal growth and job satisfaction. The Clinical Nurse Leaders and Household Coordinators will form a Neighborhood Council which will serve all households in a guiding and supporting role under the guidance of the Vice President, Nursing and the Administrator.

The Clinical Nurse Leader performs nursing duties within the scope of practice as defined by the State of Connecticut and provides nursing care to household Residents in accordance with the Core Values of Mozaic Senior Life and practices within the scope of the role of RN/LPN. The Clinical Nurse Leader assumes the responsibility for the overall delivery of care and supports the household team to ensure quality of care and quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience: 1+ years clinical experience in a long-term care setting preferred
• Licensure: RN/LPN, State of Connecticut, BLS/CPR certification, only accepted
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile residents within the facility. Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively; Ability to utilize various software packages to carry out position responsibilities.
