RATE: $45- $50 Per Hour Based on Experience

PURPOSE:

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for nursing services to residents, providing direct care, administering treatments and medications, and organizing daily assignments for staff based on each resident’s assessment and plan of care. Supervises staff and ensures compliance with care standards and facility policies, including the “Flow of Care”.

DUTIES:

  • Apply geriatric and chronic care nursing principles, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Conduct daily rounds at the beginning and end of shifts to observe, verify, and report on resident status and staff performance.
  • Monitor care delivery to meet resident needs and maintain quality standards.
  • Demonstrate competency in clinical skills relevant to the facility’s resident population.
  • Collect and evaluate data on residents’ physical, behavioral, and functional status.
  • Understand laws and regulations affecting nursing care in facilities.
  • Interpret and enforce facility policies with staff.
  • Motivate and organize staff, fostering effective teamwork and communication with residents, families, and external agencies.
  • Adhere to the facility’s mission and uphold resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain honesty and integrity in all interactions and use of property.
  • Provide direct nursing care, administer treatments and medications, and assign daily tasks to staff.
  • Supervise staff and ensure care standards are met, following facility policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of one year in LTC nursing management and valid NJ Nursing License required.
