Job summary

Magnolia Manor, Inc. in Americus, GA, seeks an RN/LPN Unit Manager to direct and supervise resident care under the Director of Nursing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and maintaining the highest quality of care.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on oversight of nursing staff, medication passes, and daily rounds; the Non-Exempt position also involves administrative duties and collaboration with the nursing team to meet facility

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered state RN or LPN license.
• 3 to 4 years’ experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health care setting.
• Prior clinical supervision or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing day-to-day Nursing Department functions.
• Manage and mentor nursing staff.
• Perform administrative duties such as medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
• Make daily rounds to ensure nursing personnel meet standards and report findings to the DON.
• Monitor medication passes and treatments, ensuring orders are followed.
• Identify and report problem areas and assist in corrective actions.
