Job summary

Meadowbrook Respiratory and Nursing Center in New Jersey seeks an RN or LPN to oversee daily CNA activities and ensure compliance with policies. The role includes med administration, wound care, and patient transfers, with emphasis on high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of CNAs per policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with nursing policies and procedures by staff.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfer of residents.
• Monitors residents’ status and notifies physician and family as needed.
• Transcribes physician orders and carries out orders.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered and observes for adverse effects.
• Performs wound care and other treatments as ordered.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and transportation for residents.
• Provides nursing leadership to unit staff.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies and notifies needs.
