A leading healthcare provider in Montana seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing services. Candidates must possess a valid nursing license, CPR certification, and have at least 1-2 years of acute care experience. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and supervising healthcare staff. Work Unit Overview: A Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing and nursing-related services to residents consistent with each resident's comprehensive assessment and plan of care. All resident care is provided in a manner that meets the resident's physical, mental, and psychosocial needs, enabling the individual to attain or maintain the highest practicable level of functioning. Provides supervision of healthcare personnel in maintaining a "homelike" environment, protects resident rights, and assists individuals to maintain independence and control as much as possible.
Job Summary: The RN or LPN assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. Duties include administering nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. An RN/LPN oversees the work of other healthcare personnel as required.
Administer prescribed medications, start IV fluids, record vital signs, transcribe physician orders, and observe/report patient symptoms.
Work as part of a healthcare team to assess needs, plan, and implement care. Collect samples for testing, communicate with other facilities, and prepare patients for examinations.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program (preferred for RN), 1-2 years of acute care experience, valid Montana RN or LPN license, and current CPR certification. Must have a clean court record free of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment allegations, pass a background check, and maintain drug-free workplace standards.
This position requires knowledge of nursing theory and practice, hospital rules, medical vocabulary, supplies, and equipment. Also required are knowledge of patient rights, confidentiality, infection control, emergency procedures (including CPR), medication administration, and behavioral health assessment. Physical ability to perform assessments, draw blood, and work under strain is necessary. Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality is essential.
