Job summary

Good Samaritan seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care to residents, coordinating with families and an inter-disciplinary team. The role emphasizes assessment, planning and evaluation within nursing practice, and supports care across preventive, health maintenance, diagnosis and treatment phases.

The RN may serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe care and adherence to nursing standards and ethics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or multistate licensure under NLC.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams; educate residents.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff.

Education
