Job summary

Memorial Community Hospital & Health System in Blair, Nebraska, is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join the Medical/Surgical team. The role offers three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) totaling 36 hours, with a $10,000 signing bonus.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN or LPN license in Nebraska or Iowa.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience preferred.

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients across med/surg and skilled nursing settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and education.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments safely via various routes.
• Respond to both routine and emergency patient needs.
• Participate in patient admissions, obtain informed consent, and complete timely documentation.
• Support a culture of teamwork by cross-training and floating to other nursing departments as needed.
