Job summary

Sanford Health in Saint James, MN, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized care in a family‑oriented environment. The role supports residents with the nursing process and coordination of care across all phases of care.

The position offers day shifts, 32 scheduled hours per week, and a compensation range of $27.00–$48.00 per hour depending on experience, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. An RN license is required, with preferred bachelor's degree in nursing.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or multistate licensure under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Preferred graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
• Must obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized care to residents.
• Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and appropriate age and population-specific standards.
• Provide preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment across all resident phases.
• Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, deliver resident education, and perform various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their skill set and competence level.
• Offer assistance and support to delegates, ensuring safe and reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care or service concerns.
• Operate within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and relevant state administrative rules.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association’s Scope and Standards of Practice with Interpretive Statements.
