Job summary

Peaceful Pines Senior Living is a compassionate community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. We seek an RN/LPN to assess, document, and oversee resident care in partnership with the Director of Nursing.

You will support a positive team environment, handle on‑call backup duties, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining resident records and coordinating with families and physicians.

Qualifications

• Active, valid LPN or RN license.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare facility.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive work environment focused on teamwork.
• Provides on‑call backup to the community.
• Maintains confidentiality of all resident and staff information.
• Ensures all resident needs are met and informs on‑shift staff of expectations.
• Completes incident reports promptly and accurately.
• Prepares medical paperwork for scheduled resident appointments.
• Assists with regulatory compliance and state licensure surveys.
• Maintains resident files and necessary documents.
• Assists Medication Aides and Caregivers as needed.
• Notifies DON of new doctor orders and medication changes.
• Performs medication inventory checks and pharmacy medication reviews.
• Communicates important information in staff notes for awareness.
• Assists with shift coverage on a distributed rotation.
• Reviews and drafts nursing policies for leadership review.
• Administers prescribed medications per standards and practices.
• Observes residents and reports changes to supervisor, family, and physician.
• Takes vital signs to detect deviations and assess health.
• Informs family and physician about changes in resident status.
