Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan provides individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process, collaborating with residents, families and an inter-disciplinary team. The role requires competency in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, with opportunities to lead as charge nurse and support staff.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license, prefer a BSN, and will participate in ongoing education and compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in state of practice.
• Proven ability to coordinate care and educate residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
• Coordinate resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to staff.
