Job summary

Castor Home Nursing in Chapin, Illinois seeks a CNA, LPN, or RN to provide 1:1 private duty care for a young adult in the home. Evening and weekend shifts are available, with interview and onboarding that can be completed virtually.

You will perform ADLs and basic nursing tasks according to licensure, document care electronically, and collaborate with Castor clinical staff. Training is provided, with a supportive team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois CNA certification or LPN/RN license, as applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Private duty/home care experience a plus, but training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Position Overview

In this role, you will provide 1:1 care to a young adult in their home. Evening and weekend shifts are currently available, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible scheduling, relationship-based care, and the ability to focus on one individual’s needs.

CNA Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Support personal care, comfort, safety, and independence
• Observe and report changes or concerns to the appropriate nursing or clinical team
• Complete accurate electronic documentation
• Provide compassionate and respectful care

Please note: CNAs will assist with ADLs and other nonmedical support only. CNAs will not be responsible for providing skilled nursing or medical care.

LPN/RN Responsibilities

• Provide individualized skilled nursing care according to the patient’s plan of care
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor and document the patient’s condition and any changes
• Assist with medical equipment and other skilled nursing needs as appropriate
• Communicate with the patient, family, and Castor clinical team
• Complete accurate electronic documentation
• Promote the patient’s comfort, safety, and independence
