Job summary

Sandhills Pediatrics Inc. seeks a dedicated pediatric clinical team member to support providers in an outpatient setting. The role includes patient escort, documentation, vital signs, point-of-care testing, immunizations, and assisting during exams to ensure high-quality, compassionate care for infants, children and adolescents.

Must hold North Carolina licensure as RN, LPN or CMA with CPR certification. Prior pediatric outpatient experience and strong communication skills are highly valued;

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pediatric clinical team member to assist providers in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to infants, children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. The successful candidate will perform a variety of patient care and clinical support duties, including escorting patients to exam rooms, documenting the chief complaint and reason for visit, recording patient histories, performing point-of-care lab testing, administering immunizations and vaccines as ordered, and obtaining vital signs and measurements required for routine well-child and physical examinations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet and escort pediatric patients and families; ensure a welcoming, child-friendly environment.
• Document chief complaint, review medical history and update patient records accurately.
• Obtain and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure) and anthropometric measurements (height, weight, head circumference as appropriate).
• Collect and process lab specimens and perform point-of-care testing according to clinic protocols.
• Administer immunizations and vaccines when ordered by providers; verify immunization status and provide education to caregivers.
• Assist providers during examinations and support other clinical duties as needed.

Qualifications

Must hold current North Carolina licensure as an RN, LPN or Certified Medical Assistant and maintain current CPR certification. Prior experience in pediatric nursing or outpatient clinic settings is highly desired. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively with providers and staff, and comfort working with children and families.

Schedule & Benefits

Full-time position with the option of a 4- or 5-day workweek; if choosing a 4-day schedule, the assigned day off will be determined based on clinic needs. Must be willing to work some weekends on a rotating schedule.
