Job summary

Avera Aberdeen Family Physicians is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to moving health forward for patients and their families. This regular day-shift position requires active state licensure and strong patient-care skills in a clinic setting.

You will coordinate patient care, assist providers during procedures, manage scheduling, and educate patients on health maintenance.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with appropriate communication and acuity.
• Excellent patient care and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients; administers medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing.
• Observes and reports patient condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to the provider.
• Oversees appointment scheduling and ensures timely flow of patients; greets patients and prepares them for examinations.
• Screens patients for health history, takes vitals, conducts nursing assessments, and documents information.
• Educates patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness.
