Job summary

Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pulaski, Virginia is seeking an RN/LPN Charge Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional care and a team-first attitude. This role supervises CNAs and delivers direct patient care under established policies and procedures.

The Charge Nurse will contribute to care-plans, identify patient goals, address family concerns, and communicate with the Clinical Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a LPN or RN.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to interact with diverse people and foster teamwork.
• Ability to negotiate with staff, patients, families, and regulatory agents.

The Charge Nurse supervises CNAs and provides direct patient care in accordance with state, federal and MFA Nursing Policies and Procedures. This position also assists in the development/implementation of patient care plans, identifies patient goals/approaches, resolves patient/family concerns, and summarizes concerns for Clinical Unit Manager.

Qualifications include:

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
• Ability to interact with a variety of people and foster a team philosophy
• Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, patients, families, and professional/regulatory agent
