Qualifications

• Current, valid RN licensure is required.
• Experience in long-term healthcare is preferred.
• Management or supervisory experience is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains nursing objectives, goals, and standards per licensure requirements and Nurse Practice Act.
• Assesses staffing to meet resident needs with the Director of Nursing.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Receives, transcribes, and implements physician orders.
• Implements and evaluates care plans.
• Identifies needed equipment and supplies.
• Directs and oversees subordinate staff.
• Participates in duty assignments and coordinates tasks and time.
• Oversees and monitors activities of staff.
• Evaluates staff performance and provides discipline or training as needed.
• Monitors infection control compliance.
• Investigates and documents accidents or incidents.
• Undertakes other duties as assigned.
