General Description: An OU Health Registered Nurse (RN) I works under general supervision, providing high-quality care to patients in a hospital setting with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Education: Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience: 0-3 years of patient care experience as an RN.
License/Certification/Registration:
Works under general supervision, providing nursing care to a variety of patients, modeling standards, and upholding ethics. They are competent, efficient, team-focused, and capable of complex problem-solving.
Responsibilities include: similar to RN I, with added emphasis on mentoring, complex patient care, and leadership.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of experience, and preferred specialty certifications.
Provides nursing care with a focus on quality outcomes, evidence-based practice, and innovation. Acts as a mentor and emerging leader, with responsibilities including complex procedures, mentorship, and staffing planning.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree, master's preferred, and over 5 years of experience, with specialty certifications preferred.
