Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure with BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients appropriately based on medical condition.
• Administers medications as prescribed and monitors effects.
• Provides nursing care including education on self-care and discharge planning.
• Develops and implements teaching plans; involves families as appropriate.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures requiring technical skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs and coordinates post-discharge planning with social services.
• Demonstrates cost-conscious use of supplies and equipment.
• Prioritizes patient care to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
• Promotes patient safety and continual learning in nursing.
