Job summary

The Laurels of Steubenville is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead nursing care in our long-term care community, using strong clinical and communication skills to improve residents' quality of life. You will supervise LPNs and STNAs, ensure safe medication administration, assess residents, and develop and implement care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license.
• CPR certification.
• 1–3 years of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by LPNs, STNAs and other team members.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Assess the health of residents and notify the physician of changes in status; implement orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment and implement nursing care.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize a resident’s condition and prevent complications.
• Contribute to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the development of a plan of care.
