Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree and have 2 years in acute care. Active Texas RN license with BLS is required on hire, ACLS/NRP training within 60 days or orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years in acute care preferred.
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Active BLS required on hire with 60 days.
• ACLS and NRP to be completed within 60 days of hire or orientation period.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring training required or completed as specified.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients matched to the nurse's competencies.
• Completes established competencies for the position within the introductory period.
• Performs related duties as assigned to support patient care.
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
