Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks an experienced registered nurse to lead patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards. You will delegate and support licensed and ancillary team members while driving quality outcomes and respecting diverse patient populations.

The role emphasizes teaching, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and continuous improvement in respect to patient care standards and safety. Current RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and teach diverse groups (patients/families).
• Delegate and manage nursing team resources on interdisciplinary teams.
• Use data to evaluate and promote changes for better outcomes.
• Support patient satisfaction and staff morale; be adaptable to patient populations.
