Job summary

George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, invites experienced registered nurses to join the Labor and Delivery team. We provide clinically advanced childbirth services, collaborate with Advanced Practitioners, and support teaching and research as a prominent academic medical center.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited RN program, hold a state nursing license, and have ACLS/PALS or acquire within six months; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current state nursing license required.
• ACLS or PALS (or obtained within six months of employment)
• BLS
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically advanced childbirth services in Labor and Delivery with collaboration from Advanced Practitioners and Providers.
• Contribute to teaching and research hospital environment.
• Support patient-centered care and safety during labor, delivery and postpartum.
